Paper Mache Wine Bottles

What I used:

  • 2 Empty glass bottle

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 1/2 cups water

  • 1 medium mixing bowl

  • 2 Magazines, cut into varying length, 1-inch-thick strips

  • Towel or newspaper to craft on

  • Scissors

  • Spoon (optional)

Step 1 In a medium mixing bowl, combine flour with water to form a paste that is about the same thickness and consistency as school glue.

Step 2 Sit bottle on towel and remove cork, so you can turn as needed.

Step 3 Use spoon or fingers to coat back of magazine stripe and stick to bottle, end to end so it sticks flat. Step 4 Continue placing strips along the exposed half of the bottle, including the bottom, all the way up the bottle neck. Overlap strips slightly.

Step 5 Once bottle is covered, allow to dry completely overnight or longer.
